SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

Second Phase Teaching Practice

WEEK 1

DAY-1  17.11.2025 (Monday)

The first day of our fourth-semester teaching practice at RVSMHSS Prayar began at 9 am. Three trainees from KUCTE Kayamkulam, including myself, reported to the school. After meeting the headmistress and receiving instructions, we submitted our attendance register and met our assigned teacher, who arranged a resting room and briefed us on our subjects. During the lunch break, I served the mid-day meal. In the afternoon, I handled two classes: Static Electricity in 8D during the fifth period and Water in 8C during the sixth period, concluding both with key summaries. The school dispersed early, and we left by 3:30 pm.

DAY-2  18.11.2025 (Tuesday)

On the second day of our second-phase teaching practice at RVSMHSS, Prayar, the activities went smoothly. I reached the school around 9 am, marked my attendance, and prepared for the day. After the morning assembly, regular classes began. During the 4th period, I handled a session for 9E, introducing the topic “Chemical Kinetics.” I explained the concepts clearly and demonstrated related experiments using ICT, concluding with a summary of key points. At lunch, we served the mid-day meal and later marked our afternoon attendance. Due to heavy rain, the school dispersed early, and we left by 3:30 pm.

DAY-3  19.11.2025 (Wednesday)

On the third day of our second-phase teaching practice at RVSMHSS, Prayar, the activities proceeded smoothly. I reached the school around 9 am, marked my attendance by 9:15 am, and prepared for the day. After the morning assembly, regular classes began. During the 2nd period, I taught the topic “Buoyancy,” explaining buoyant force and its measurement. I concluded the class by revising key points, asking questions, and clearing students’ doubts. During the lunch break, we served the mid-day meal and later marked our afternoon attendance. We also took part in other assigned duties. We left the school around 4:05 pm.

DAY-4  20.11.2025 (Thursday)

On the fourth day of our second-phase teaching practice at RVSMHSS, Prayar, activities progressed smoothly. I reached the school at 9 am, marked my attendance by 9:15 am, and prepared for the day. After the morning prayer, I received a substitution period in 9D during the third hour, where I introduced the factors influencing buoyant force and summarised the key points. Since the class had a free period during the fourth hour, I continued with Archimedes’ principle and the principle of floatation, concluding with a recap of all concepts. During lunch, we served the mid-day meal. After marking afternoon attendance and completing other assigned tasks, we left the school around 4:10 pm.

DAY-5  21.11.2025 (Friday)

On the fifth day of our second-phase teaching practice at R.V.S.M.H.S.S, Prayar, all duties were carried out efficiently. I reached the school at 9 am, marked my attendance by 9:15 am, and prepared for the day. After the morning prayer, I handled a class in 9D during the second period, introducing relative density, hydrometer, and lactometer. I concluded by revising the formula for relative density and the uses of both instruments. My second class was in 9C during the fourth period, where I continued the chapter on buoyant force. We served the mid-day meal at lunch, completed afternoon attendance, engaged in assigned duties, and left the school by 4:05 pm.
